You can install these program either separately or simultaneously. However, to view infected files detected by Real-time Scan, you need the Manual Scan program to refer to the Virus Log file. We recommend installing both programs simultaneously. - You must install PC-cillin for Palm OS Version 2.0 on a "clean" PDA. Therefore, before installation you must uninstall all previously installed antivirus software. For example: * Antivirus software from another company * Trend Micro PC-cillin for Palm 1.0 * Trend Micro PC-cillin for Palm 2.0 Beta III. Updated Infomation ==================================================================== 1. Error caused under the J-OS fixed 2. Fixed Realtime Scan reseting repeatly under CJK-OS4.0 IV. Known issues ==================================================================== PC-cillin for Palm ------------------ 1. Log file does not contain the pattern update event. 2. The software cannot scan for or detect infected files in expansion devices (CF, MMC, and SD). It is therefore unable to delete viruses in these devices. 3. PC-cillin for Palm cannot scan Sony Clie devices with Memory stick expansion kits. 4. In some cases, and for unknown reasons, a fatal error occurs when users exchange the scan.prc (main program) file via Infrared transmission. 5. Pattern file pam937.pdb in the release version can detect four types of viruses: PALM_LIBERTY.A, PALM_VAPOR.A, PALM_PHAGE.A and PALM_MTX_II.A 6. Certain third party programs or versions of the Palm OS may cause the Real-time Scan or Manual Scan icons to appear in the [Unfiled] category, instead of [Utilities]. 7. Before deleting the Real-time Scan program, disable the Real-time Scan function. Otherwise, an error may occur, requiring you to reset the PDA. 8. PC-cillin for Palm OS Version 2.02 cannot detect viruses in files as they are beamed. 9. To view infected files detected by Real-time Scan, you must have the Manual Scan program installed to refer to the Virus Log file. Trend Micro recommends that you install both programs during installation. 10. Neither Manual nor Real-time Scan can detect viruses in ZIP files. 11. If the available memory drops below the required amount (200 KB), Real-Time and/or Manual Scan fatal errors occur. Should this happen, free memory by deleting Virus Logs and other unnecessary files, then retry the virus scan. 12.Patter file may not appears in "Information", "Delete", "Infrared" list with some devices. If one need to delete the pattern file, please use Third-Party software. PC-cillin for Pocket PC ----------------------- 1. For non-English versions of WinCE 3.0, the PC-cillin for Pocket PC log file (PcciLog.txt) is located in "\My Device\My Documents" 2. Before uninstalling PC-cillin for Pocket PC, you must quit the main program by clicking the "OK" button on the top right corner. 3. PC-cillin for Pocket PC version 2.0 can only detect Excel-type and Word VB script-type viruses. 4. Version 2.0 can only display a small number of virus descriptions. To uninstall PC-cillin for EPOC, you must quit the main program by tapping the "Esc" button. 2.
